Accelerating AI Ethics

Our vision is that AI benefits all of humanity.

The Accelerator Fellowship Programme is a global AI ethics hub, part of the Institute for Ethics in AI and based at Oxford’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.

Our mission is to tackle AI’s toughest ethical challenges and realise the benefits of AI through collaboration.

Accelerating AI Ethics

AI is transforming our world. But there are many ethical considerations from how AI is changing our ways of working to potentially deepening social inequalities. Instead of creating new opportunities. That's why we're here, to spark urgent conversations about the most pressing ethical issues in AI.

Ushahidi Data Commons

This year, Ushahidi has run four workshops on how community-generated data should be licensed and governed when it may be used to train AI. At the convening, we'll share a draft governance framework and test it with people whose perspectives we value, ahead of community validation in Nairobi later in November.
